Through helping the North Texas American Diabetes Association, Texas Lending hopes to contribute to eventually wiping out the disease in the area.

The Texas Lending Care Bearz team has also participated in the Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure. This annual nationwide event has raised more than $1.9 billion for the fight against breast cancer since it began in 1982. Participants at Texas Lending obtain pledges prior to the day of the walk, and then walk a preset number of miles along with other participants in the community.

Employees at Texas Lending also helps Toys for Tots, a Christmastime event that collects toys for children at Christmastime. Texas Lending assisted the Dallas-Fort Worth Toys for Tots drive, which collected and distributed more than 277,000 toys last year. Businesses like Texas Lending collect toys from employees, who are able to easily bring the toys to the event coordinator to collect and hand off to the Toys for Tots coordinators.

Texas Lending also supports the Promise House, a shelter for teens. Promise House gives a home to runaway and homeless teens, providing a safe place where they can receive the support they need.

The Care Bearz team allows Texas Lending to be an active part of the community while helping others and giving back. Texas Lending continues to look for great ways to get employees involved in other charitable activities.
