Jay P. Clark is the owner and CEO of Clark’s Crystal Springs Ranch, LLC, a fully operational agricultural center in Mountain Home, Idaho. The ranch farms around six square miles from the Boise area to Hagerman and recently added an additional 1,000 acres near Mountain Home. Jay P. Clark is the second generation of Clarks to oversee the family farm, having assumed the position in 2008 after his father fell ill. Clark’s Crystal Springs Ranch grows corn, wheat, barley, oats, and hay for a number of uses. For the 2013 growing season, the farm plans to add the flowering biofuel plant Camelina to its fields. Clark’s Crystal Springs Ranch has eight full-time employees and a central office in Mountain Home. Jay P. Clark also oversees operations at the ranch’s repair shop and machining facilities located a few miles offsite. The repair shop is completely equipped with paint and body capabilities, overhead cranes, plasma cutters, and heavy duty welders. As a side project, Jay P. Clark restores at least one farm tractor and one semi-truck each year.
