Jeffrey Kale Flagg | Making Waves, Finding Success

Jeffrey Kale Flagg is an American businessman and General Partner in the real estate development fund American Redevelopment Fund, LP. Additionally, Jeffrey Kale Flagg is the Chief Operating Officer of Array Asset Management, LLC. Flagg has travelled broadly and has studied many languages – speaking Russian and French proficiently, and reading some Hebrew.

What does it mean when someone is adrift and floating rudderless?  It means that they are simply taking what life has to offer, drifting with the tide, accomplishing nothing and living in ignorance of a better life, says Jeffrey Kale Flagg.  True, acknowledges Flagg, these people are not making any waves or upsetting anybody.  They are simply doing what everyone else is doing, doing what the masses are doing—existing.

According to Jeffrey Kale Flagg, there are people who don’t mind this trade off—in fact they actually welcome it.  Their philosophy is that as long as they don’t rock the boat, as long as they don’t create waves, then they are fine.  While that might be okay for them, points out Jeffrey Kale Flagg, along with no waves and no change comes a life with no passion, no excitement, no growth and no accomplishment.  For Jeffrey Kale Flagg, the waves are worthwhile sacrifices for accomplishment, fulfillment and happiness.  Asks Flagg, why should we remain unhappy and unfulfilled?  Life is there for the grabbing if we are simply motivated enough to stake our claim.  He says, “Let me be the first to urge you: stake your claim for happiness and fulfillment.  It will set you apart from the masses.  It will make you unique.”  And while Jeffrey Kale Flagg acknowledges that being unique might seem scary at first, he promises that one day you will look back and say that it was the best decision that you ever made.

There are a lot of people who never even try to make the journey up Success Mountain, who never even try to move their boat, according to Jeffrey Kale Flagg.  Most of these people completely dislike what they do for work, but because of money they do it anyway.  It is one of the reasons that stress is at an all time high in our country, reports Jeffrey Kale Flagg. Statistics show that 1 out of every two people in our country will get cancer, notes Flagg.   Heart attacks are the number one killer in our country. Jeffrey Kale Flagg believes that heart attacks and cancer are good indicators of stress and unhappiness. According to Flagg, “it is almost like the Big Man upstairs is saying—use your life well or lose your life soon, don’t you think?”

Jeffrey Kale Flagg asks: “Should we find someone who has the success that we want and do what they do?  Should we make the changes and the commitments that they made or should we stay where we are, remaining unhealthy and unhappy because we don’t want to create waves?” Jeffrey Kale Flagg believes that the answer is obvious.

Giving up accomplishment and fulfillment so you can avoid creating waves, says Flagg, has always confused him. Jeffrey Kale Flagg believes that people fear making waves because they don’t understand that waves are simply a by-product of action.  Flagg quotes a familiar mantra, “If people aren’t talking about you, than you aren’t doing anything.”  Don’t worry if people are talking about you, encourages Jeffrey Kale Flagg.  People doing nothing always talk about people who are doing something.  If someone is creating waves it simply means that they are moving.  Shouldn’t we all want to move, advance and grow? Don’t worry about waves, says Jeffrey Kale Flagg.  Determine the action that will give you your desired result and than go for it!
